Garage Conversion Concept Design
The client had existing planning permission to convert their garage into a usable living space. However, there was not enough space for their ideal usage.
Using modern building techniques was crucial to maximizing the usable space of this project. Where the initial design only allowed for a single bedroom and a lounge/kitchenette, we were able to offer a design that comprised of two bedrooms, an ensuite, family bathroom, kitchen diner, an entrance way with utility and a lounge. All within the original footprint and ridge height as agreed with the local planning authority, much to the clients surprise.Â
Multigenerational Home Project Management
The client had an existing three bedroom bungalow with a need for expansion to accommodate a multigenerational living space.Â

From the original concept to completion I managed the design and planning process, financing, CDM, building control, plan of works, procurement, commissioning, testing and sign off. transforming the property into a very well appointed seven bedroom house that is a home for the whole family. We achieved this with a two story extension, repurposing the garage and only adding thirty five square meters to the footprint.Â
Super Prime Layout optimization and Concept Design
The client had two adjoining properties and were wanting to combine and extend them into one substantial dwelling. Â

Using AutoCAD and Revit I visualised the existing property and analysed the current designs enabling better understanding of the clients requirements. Then I engaged the client showing various design options to develop the help develop design further, providing an interactive service. Using a 3D model I could demonstrate sight lines and views, internally and externally in real time, that informed the client and enabled them to truly get into their vision. With this I could satisfy planning restrictions and the clients intentions, preparing usable designs and documents ready for a successful planning application.Â
The client wanted a two story side extension to add a fourth bedroom, shower room, increase the size of the kitchen and add a usable garage.
I measured the existing property and worked with the client to develop an appropriate and usable design. I then produced a complete set of planning drawings and a design statement. I submitted the application on their behalf and managed it through to the planning approval decision. Â
